In Progress: Lunar Phases

I’ve found that I really enjoy using newspaper lately. This piece spans across three canvases. One portrays the waning crescent, third quarter, and waning gibbous phases of the moon in black acrylic paint on a newsprint collage. Its counterpart portrays the waxing crescent, first quarter, and waxing gibbous phases. The center canvas is incomplete, but when done, will portray the full moon on a metallic black background.
